issues with using qwen image node on comfy Desktop

App Version

Expected Behavior

The Text Encode Qwen Image Edit node in Comfy Desktop should load and work normally without showing errors (not highlighted in red).

Actual Behavior

When I add the Text Encode Qwen Image Edit node, it appears highlighted in red and does not function. Other nodes work as expected. I’m using Comfy Desktop with ComfyUI version v0.3.50 (according to settings), so it should be up to date.

Steps to Reproduce

Open Comfy Desktop (ComfyUI v0.3.50).

Add a Text Encode Qwen Image Edit node to the workflow.

Observe that the node is highlighted in red and fails to work.

I see, I believe there is script in "C:\Users\SEPHiA\Documents\ComfyUI\update\update_comfyui.bat", try to run it via poswershell or cmd, if u are i windows 11, simply navigate to the update folder -> right click -> open terminal and run '.\update_comfyui.bat'

unfortunately, I don't see the "update" folder there. I also tried updating within the UI but it says no update found. I'm not sure how to install nightly version of comfy desktop though, if even possible.

I did some searching, and it seems the portable version is locked to the stable version. As of now, they haven't pushed the new nodes into the stable version (and it's buggy, results are mediocre I managed to get GGUF to work, but FP8 is hit or miss). Maybe they'll push new updates tomorrow.

Same. And there is the way I dealt with that issue: 1) Manager -> Update ComfyUI -> Restart -> quit 2) Launch "update/update_comfyui.bat"

The issue is basically stable builds they are not updated to the latest nodes. I basically cloned the repo and manually installed stuff in the venv. Its working now.
