Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

When you are new to creating monsters, you are unfamiliar with all the stats they can have. GAME_BALANCE.md has some excellent guidance with specific and explained values, but I think it needs some updates and additions from someone more familiar with monsters than me.

This way the likelihood of contributors accidentally creating unbalanced stuff will be lower. And to be quite honest, I still do not understand the dodge values /o\

Solution you would like.

I'd like documented guidance for the following:

  • Armor
  • Day and night vision
  • Dodge
  • Melee dice stuff
  • Aggression and morale
  • Move costs of actions
  • Damage types and values, we currently only have max damage in that doc

There may be even more to be documented.

Keep in mind that anything you include in there restricts the design space in monsters - guidance is fine, but it should live in the monster docs.

This is not really about rules. It is about documenting the parameters a monsters can reasonably have and having more clarity about what is considered appropriate for specific types of monsters. Sure you may have a 500 speed monster but then you need to make sure it is e.g weak on the offence.
