Locale: french fr_FR

Hi,

i'm a apple developer and I want to translate the CRM into french, I saw the fr_FR folder.
I started to translate and to add the part which aren't made.

But without any effect, I think there is a way to make an index in messages.po and messages.mo

Could you please explain me, how to build this two files ?

Second, on the left side, how is it possible to translate the menu :

• dashboard
• members
• etc ...

Hi @phili67 welcome to the project, we are looking for a new way to support translations but have not invested in it yet...

Which way do you want to investigate.

The actual way is similar to a OS x/iOS application.

Could please explain me the new way.

I look inside the code and saw a gettext function, did you mean this way or another way ??

I think the gettext function should work, we just need to make sure we use
it in all opportunities for displaying text.

@nntloc and @phili67 i just did some testing and it has to do do with the system language... please see #804 for steps i used to test the system

@phili67 i updated the messages.po in https://github.com/ChurchCRM/CRM/blob/7a2bd2ed622c4148a9edd5bf5101fdef33b1c80d/src/locale/messages.po with all the messages in ChurchCRM vs the older files... please review and update your fr_FR #790
