If i do a backup and restore on a new system it gives a success message but it does not actually restore people

What version and file type was the source database?
Are you having other issues with API related functions?

from 2.1.x to 2.1.x just black up flush and restore

This seems to occur when the backup type is a gzip'd sql file.
It does not seem to occur when the backup type is a gzip'd tar file
