TST-07: Manual validation slice A - workspace shell, board lifecycle, and keyboard UX #130

Description

@Chris0Jeky

Source:

Purpose:

  • Verify with human-executed checks that the day-to-day board workflow and keyboard-first UX contracts still behave as designed after recent feature and hardening cycles.

Scope:

  • Workspace auth flow and shell behavior (/login, /register, command palette, shortcuts help).
  • Board lifecycle and board settings behavior (create/rename/archive/unarchive).
  • Column/card/label core operations with handle-only drag behavior.
  • Filter panel behavior and keyboard board navigation contract.
  • Escape behavior stack contract across overlays, panel surfaces, and board-route exit behavior.

Methodology (required):

  1. Use a clean local env baseline (fresh DB optional, documented in run notes).
  2. Execute a step-indexed scenario checklist (ID format A-01, A-02, ...).
  3. Capture evidence per step:
    • pass/fail
    • observed behavior
    • screenshots or short clips for UI mismatches
    • request IDs for API-correlated failures where applicable
  4. File defects as linked issues with exact repro steps and expected vs actual.
  5. Post run summary in this issue with environment details (date, commit SHA, browser, OS).

Acceptance Criteria:

  • A dedicated slice checklist exists in-repo with clear step IDs and expected outcomes.
  • At least one full maintainer run is recorded with evidence and linked defects (if any).
  • Any checklist ambiguity discovered during execution is fixed in docs.
  • Follow-up automation candidates from this slice are listed explicitly.

Suggested branch:

  • test/manual-slice-workspace-board-ux
