Attempting to create or edit a note crashes

I installed Carnet via FDroid. I am using version 0.25.1 on a Google Pixel 7 running Android 14 Grapheneos. When I open the app, skip the syncing options, and press the "Create a note" field at the bottom of the screen, the app immediately crashes. When I re-open Carnet, I see that a new blank note has been created. If I try to tap on the note to edit it, the app also crashes. This makes the app unusable.
