-moz-appearance property suggestion by CSS Lint "not relevant"?

FYI: Earlier, I ran CSS Lint on Necolas' normalize.css, and CSS Lint warned (among a few other things) "The property -moz-appearance is compatible with -webkit-appearance and should be included as well."

To which Necolas' very prompt response over there was: "The -moz version isn't needed for anything. CSS Lint's warning is not relevant because it doesn't understand the context."

Honestly, I don't quite get that. But, I thought I'd mention it here in hopes it offers a clue towards a future improvement.

Context: buttons behave differently in safari. The property is only relevant to make safari behave more like other browsers, hence the -moz variant isn't needed. I don't see either project being at fault.

I empathize with your curiosity, but issues really aren't the best way to ask these types of questions. A Q&A site would be better in my opinion ie: http://stackoverflow.com/

For the record I have no affiliation with csslint (though I do use it), just expressing my opinion.

I agree with @sitedyno here. I don't think either project is wrong, this is just a use case that's specific to Necolas' project. I'm not sure that there is anything that can be distilled from this or changed to make the situation more correct.
