Software launched via downloaded zip should phone home and do a version check

To help keep users who use the downloaded zip version of Visual Programmer up 
to date, the software should check some version file (e.g. 
artsandbots.com/visualprogrammer/version.txt) and notify the user if the 
version they're running is out of date.  We could rig it so that only the zip 
version of the software does this check by adding a "don't check for updates" 
param to the JNLP.
