I think it would be a good idea to introduce per-user configuration (in addition to per-environment):

• pyrx.ini file with settings such as PYRX_DISABLE_ONLOAD or PYRX_LOAD_REPL
• an additional onload.py pyrx_init.py file that will be loaded independently of the pyrx_onload.py file located in the local environment search path.

All of this could be handled by the _host_init.py module.
