Labels don't respect newlines

Adding labels to elements (such as bars), often times we add multiple pieces of information (e.g. "x=male, y=274"). I would like to be able to add a minimum set of formatting, at least a newline, so "x=male" is on one line, and "y=274" on the next. Ideally we could put HTML in these labels, and give fully-customized labels.

I believe I need this also - I would like to do this

label(core,'( ',#count,' )')

and have one line per core and it's count, it appears to be doing it but over writing the output for each core

Not sure what you mean by "one line per core" -- maybe the full brunel will help. It sounds like you're creating multiple elements all in the same location and labeling them, which will indeed lead to labels all on top of each other.
