When you visualize the numeric data that has non-continuous nature (e.g. years like 2015, 2016; quarters like 1, 2, 3, 4), Brunel creates gaps in the graph that are not filled with data points. The charts become too sparse in appearance. Adding hints year:nominal does not help to resolve the issue. The only option to resolve it is to convert the data to string type e.g. by adding 'Y' in front of years or 'Q' in front of quarters.
