About WHMCP

WHMCP (Web Host Model Context Protocol) is a planned addon specifically designed for small web hosting companies utilizing WHMCS. The primary goal of WHMCP is to enable these companies to make their WHMCS-powered websites MCP-ready.

By implementing WHMCP, web hosts will be able to expose relevant data and actions from their WHMCS installations through a standardized Model Context Protocol (MCP) interface. This will allow AI models and agents to securely and efficiently interact with their hosting operations, opening up possibilities for enhanced automation, customer support, and data analysis.

Current Status

This project is currently in the early stages of development. The core concepts and architecture, particularly around WHMCS integration, are being defined.

Please note: There is no usable code or release available at this time.

Planned Features (Preliminary)

• WHMCS Integration Core:
  • Develop modules/hooks for WHMCS to expose relevant data and actions via MCP.
  • Define specific MCP contexts relevant to WHMCS functionalities (e.g., client management, service status, support tickets, billing information, product provisioning).
• MCP Server Interface:
  • Implement the MCP server logic that connects to the WHMCS integration layer.
  • Ensure secure and authenticated access to the MCP interface.
• Documentation:
  • Create clear documentation for installing and configuring WHMCP within a WHMCS environment.
  • Provide examples of how AI agents can interact with WHMCS through WHMCP.
• Security:
  • Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive WHMCS data exposed via MCP.
  • Define clear access control mechanisms.
