Intermittent spb failure with on lconway 'out of bounds'

The spb fails on lconway in the build step with an 'out of bounds' error building vignettes. See http://staging.bioconductor.org:8000/job/17684/#lconway_buildsrc_anchor and compare with http://staging.bioconductor.org:8000/job/17688/#lconway_buildsrc_anchor, which ran a few hours later successfully. It might be helpful to look through the logs associated with these runs in packagebuilder/workers/jobs.

Initial work. Verified it could be built as biocbuild using the R CMD build command in the html log. Also verified pkgbuild could run the code found in the logs on lconway.

Next step. Compare the outputs in the logs on lconway of these two runs to see if there is any difference.

It was only seen on iconway which is why we thought it was something to do with the machine itself ... I think ... so we thought it better documented here -- but might be mute if we dont come back to trying to get the SPB on iconway/palamino
