It would be great if use of Gemini models made use of their first class support for json schema when defining structured output: https://blog.google/technology/developers/gemini-api-structured-outputs/
Motivation, pitch
It seems that this paved path in the Gemini interface is purported to have superior performance, and may be attractive to libraries that make use of litellm (e.g. dspy).
