Embedding just the post with only limited permissions

What would it take to embed just a post and a way to comment/upvote/downvote to use it as a disquis-like comment box from a live reddit.com post.

Currently it is unclear to me

1. Why and if you would need the "server" part of RedditJS.
2. How one would disable all the extra features at the top (like settings/browsing to other reddits etc).
3. How to reduce the amount of permissions. I can imagine a lot of users do not like to accept that list of permissions just to be able to "upvote" your post. Is it possible to limit this so if one would click the upvote button, it will ask for "VOTE permission" instead of throwing 15 permissions at a user's face :). If one would comment/reply it will ask for that permission... and so on.
