Multi Paste Feature
In order to use the multi-paste feature of the Terrain Generation Tools you will need to make use of a Mod. Multi-Paste allows you to copy and paste your entire map at once instead of one slab at a time saving many hours of work.
Using Thunderstore makes the process of installing and managing mods extremely easy.
- Install Thunderstore Mod Manager.
- Launch Thunderstore and it will prompt you to select a game type
TaleSpire
in the field and click either "Select Game" or "Set as Default".- The Set as default option will automatically launch TaleSpire every time you launch Thunderstore, useful if you aren't using it for modding multiple games.
- Use the Default profile or create a new one if you want multiple mod setups, then click "Select Profile".
- Under the left side menu select "Get Mods"
- Search for
MultiPasteSlabsPlugin
select it and click "Download" and "Download with dependencies"
When you are done you should have at least 3 installed mods when you click on the "My Mods" category, it should look something like this:
You can now launch TaleSpire modded by clicking the "Modded" option. TaleSpire will launch along with a log window, at the welcome screen you should see that mods are in use, you should see a minimum of the ones shown here:
If you don't see them you will have to look through the log and see if there is anything highlighted in Red and re-check the installation procedure.
Once you start up a campaign you will want to create a fresh board to paste your Terrain in to. In Houdini on your TaleSpire Terrain node click "Multi Copy Slabs (requires mods)" you may want to turn off "Use Registration Marks":
For large maps with a lot of slabs this may take a while, if you get a message pop up that warns that you have exceeded the 30k slab limit you must select a smaller slab size and try again.
Now switch back to TaleSpire and press LeftCtrl+B
. Your map should start pasting in to TaleSpire.
