[Android] User settings from Account Manager are reseted to default

Describe the bug
User preferences appear to get overwritten by the default settings. User tries to use BAM for setting things, but things don't always communicate correctly and settings vary some depending on the devices so user end up manually modifying them. This also includes the Advanced View option.
Could we add an option to ask upon installation or first run which the user would prefer?
