Cannot sceen capture or stream

Can't seam to be able to select (it isn't available) pipewire screen recording on obs-studio (installed thru pacman) and Kooha (installed thru epsi)

I've searched around and found that i needed to have some prerequisites installed

sudo pacman -S xdg-desktop-portal xdg-desktop-portal-hyprland xdg-desktop-portal-gtk

then the command pacman -Q | grep xdg-desktop-portal-
should display (at the time of creating this issue) the following

xdg-desktop-portal-gtk 1.15.3-1
xdg-desktop-portal-hyprland 1.3.9-10

i did set the custom/exec with

exec-once = dbus-update-activation-environment --systemd --all
exec-once = systemctl --user import-environment WAYLAND_DISPLAY XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP

and also included the export on fish config and ~/.bashrc

export XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=Hyprland
export QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland

and restarted my hyprland session but without vail..

I can't seem to get the option on obs and Kooha fails.. so i can't record screen with these tools.

I do use your own keybindings to record screen but i can't e.g. stream or similar.. 😐😑

Hi, I think I know what is the problem. I will find a fix asap, but here is what you can do to make it work:

1. Edit /usr/share/xdg-desktop-portal/portals/hyprland.portal and add Sleex to the list on the last line. It should looks like that:

   UseIn=wlroots;Hyprland;sway;Wayfire;river;Sleex;
   

2. Restart your portals: systemctl --user restart xdg-desktop-portal.service
3. Check if the hyprland portal is running: systemctl --user status xdg-desktop-portal-hyprland.service. If it is, then it should work.

but here is what you can do to make it work:

It worked as you predicted, so the portal needed to see that the Sleex name can use it. Thank you for the prompt reply! Now i can record and stream, but truth be told, i like the way you do recording of screen 💪

Maybe there are more places to insert the Sleex name and fix other stuff that may break in the way.
