I'm helping my cousin with https://lauraforanc.com/ and when I have the inserter open to patterns, I noticed the experience is a bit off with the pattern list reloading regularly and sometimes showing "no results". It's a bit distracting and buggy at a minimum rather than offering a smoother experience working with patterns:
