Click To Tweet Block Inaccessible While Editing on Simple Sites #94125

Open

Description

Quick summary

The Click to Tweet block appears completely blank when you return to a post or page. Unless the block is selected and the block toolbar is visible, it appears as though there is nothing in that space, even though the block loads correctly on the live site.

When you first add the Click to Tweet block, you can see the Twitter icon, and type as normal. It's only when you refresh the page or if you close and then return that the content in the Click to Tweet block preview disappears.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Add 'Click to Tweet' block to a post or page on a simple site
  2. Save changes, and refresh the page.
  3. The content should appear on the live site, but appears blank while editing

What you expected to happen

The Click to Tweet block I see while working on the page will match what I see on the live site, and I will be able to make changes to the text in this block

What actually happened

The block appears blank until selected, and then only the block name in the block toolbar is visible. It is not possible to edit any of the content inside this block.
