Quick summary
When using HTML tags in the Product short description on an Atomic site using a Block theme, the HTML tags are stripped out and ignored, leaving the text as a single, plain text paragraph. The text displays properly when using a Classic theme.
Steps to reproduce
- Atomic site on the Business/Creator plan
- Activate a Block theme
- WooCommerce installed with a product added
- In the Product short description field, switch it to the Text mode and add HTML tags
Sample to use:
Testing HTML Tags<br><br>
This part should be on a line of it's own with a line break above and below it.<br><br>
All tags are ignored in Block themes <strong>this should be bold</strong> or <a href="https://wordpress.com"><strong>This should be a bold link</strong></a>.
