Quick summary
It looks like the Username mentions
setting for the 🔔 notifications in https://wordpress.com/me/notifications doesn't have any effect:
Regardless of whether the setting is enabled or disabled, the notifications go through.
The related email setting seems to be working correctly.
Steps to reproduce
We have tested the issue on a P2 site.
- Create a P2 site (or use an existing one).
- Go to https://wordpress.com/me/notifications and disable the
Username mentions
setting for the 🔔 notifications. - Log in to another account that has access to the same P2 and create a comment with the
@mention
of the first user. - Check the notifications of the user that was mentioned.
What you expected to happen
There should be no notification when the Username mentions
setting for the 🔔 notifications is disabled.
What actually happened
The notification appeared:
