Quick summary
There is a contextual help tab in the classic view of WP Admin sites, with out-of-date information. We should consider reviewing and optimizing this area.
Steps to reproduce
- On a simple site, visit a dashboard page that has a wp-admin equivalent, such as Pages, Posts, or Comments.
- Click on View in the top right corner, and select 'Classic View'.
- Click on the Help tab at the very top
- Click on 'Get Help'
What you expected to happen
I expected to see useful information relevant to my WordPress.com site.
What actually happened
- The text "Check out Learn WordPress, chock full..." links to http://learn.wordpress.com, however this resource is not maintained and is out of date. It would make more sense to link to wordpress.com/support.
- If you click on a category like 'General', it includes some random irrelevant links, like Thanks for your feedback
- If you click on a category like General, there is a link to Tutorials and How-to Videos that leads to this site where the most recent video is from the year 2012: http://wordpress.tv/flavor/wordpresscom/
- If you click on many other categories, like 'Following' it just loads a blank screen without even a back button to go back to the main categories list.
