[Exmoor Theme]: Pre-built content from the theme keeps showing even if the home page is set to a static page #7353

Open

Description

Quick summary

The landing page design from Exmoor is overriding custom pages set as the Front page.

Usually, templates for the home page are for archives since WP defaults to the index.php when no front page is set.

However, Exmoor has a landing page for its default front page, which cannot be replaced even if you set a custom home page

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install and activate Exmoor
  2. Go to Reading → Your homepage displays
  3. Set a static page as your homepage, then save
  4. Visit your home page

What you expected to happen

The static page should be shown as the home page. This is the usual behavior 99% of the time.

What actually happened

Landing page template from Exmoor keeps showing despite the change.
