Quick summary
A ticket has been logged this user 4644213-zen
When navigating to Appearance →Customizer →Colors & Backgrounds and selecting the option to edit the Background color in the first circle, nothing happens. When clicking it again and the color dropper appears, if you change the color to any random color it only proceeds to change the background to white, distorting the page as shown here:
Further to the above, a similar issue is present in the Page Editor when trying to change colors of fonts or font backgrounds.
Steps to reproduce
- The site is kousbaracouscous.wpcomstaging.com
- The user's Store Admin can be found -- REDACTED
- Switch to User
- Navigate to Appearance →Customizer →Colors & Backgrounds or click here
- Click on the first color circle
- Pick your own color OR select from palette
What you expected to happen
I expected that the background color in the Customizer would change to whichever color I selected.
What actually happened
Clicking and selecting a color does not change the background to the selected color but rather distorts the background to white with specks.
Context
The user reported the issue. I tested it on their site and on one of my own sites. On my own site using Exford, I was unable to reproduce the exact issue, but there is a lag in the colors changing when they change at all. I could only change a color once and not a second time.
