Steps to replicate

1. Create a new site.
2. Once you finish site creation, switch to Rockfield theme.
3. Go to customizer. Customize your menu. Add your "About Me" page to the menu. (The "about me" page should have been created automatically, but you can use any page as long as there's a reasonable expectation to see the color and background options on that page)
4. Go to the "About Me" page in customizer. (the same way a user would)
5. Change the color options there. Notice they don't change much.
6. Save your changes.
7. Reload the page
8. Return to the "about me" page and notice that your color options have been applied.
