This is very common among non-native English speakers who haven't mastered comparative vs superlative adjectives, especially when the two sound so similar:
worst than → worse than
much worst → much worse
Here are examples I've found in the wild:
Inflation becomes worst and worst ... → Inflation becomes worse and worse ...
