If it's possible, could you merge unathi gloves with tajaran gloves and just call them fingerless latex gloves or something? They're practically the same, and we already do this with toeless boots.

They wouldn't be fingerless, since they're meant to completely cover the hands and be closed and sterile. Plus Unathi and Tajara have different hand structure, so reducing them to a single glove type seems a little iffy - plus I'd have to do it with insulated gloves and leather gloves and, well, every other glove type in code too, then.
