Windows 7 and 8 are broken on newer builds

Current Behavior

Builds newer than v3.4.1 are broken on Windows 7 and 8

I tried running it on my Windows 7 machine and got this -
The procedure entry point CreateEventW could not be located in the dynamic link library api-ms-win-core-synch-l1-2-0.dll

If this is indeed a bug, I can test on my Win7 SP1 (fully-patched + ESR patchs) if it helps out.

Last known build working for Windows 7 SP1 is version 3.4.1 linked here:

I believe the 'upgrade' to QT6 may be the root cause of this bug since QT6 doesn't (officially) support pre-Win10 OSes.
There is a workaround with a 'backported' QT6 version here: https://github.com/crystalidea/qt6windows7

It may be a bit of a hassle to have this implemented into this project, however if the devs would like to do this it would be appreciated. If it is decided that pre-Win10 support is to be cut off then I'd like for people to be well-aware of this to have a prominent 'minimum requirements' posted as well as information on the Wiki about dropping support for older OSes.

I will prepare a new build using QT5. If you are right then we will revert this change for Windows users (for now)

Thank you again for looking into this. If the backported version of QT6 could be used instead it may allow for the features of QT6 while maintaining backwards compatibility. Please take a look at it and consider if it is viable/useful to implement a build using it.
Once again on behalf of all pre-Win10 users I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to look into this :)

I understand how many moving parts there are and the potential for other bugs that may occur when swapping back to QT5. Therefore, if the backported version works then that may provide us the best of both worlds.

In the context of AntiMicroX I am not aware of any new QT6 features useful for Windows users.
