I understand that all offsets must be divisible by 4, but there is also a gap. Is this expected: hence, the script I have installed fails.

If you run that script, you will get a non-zero return code because there is a gap larger than 4. Do you want me to allow that in the script, or should there not be a gap?

It may be that when inserting a new stub entry we can use this script for Jenkins or something to indicate an issue.
