Bug: No Sound

i am thinking something like the menu sound effects in the pokemon games (r/b/y/g/s/c/etc)
it just seems a little quiet
just a low priority wish list thing i thought of

There is nothing to wish, you can do it yourself. Sound effects can be placed in the theme.

I am not sure if I want to do this for the stock theme, but you are welcome to change it to your liking!

made a file and tested it,still mute
$~ aplay /etc/emulationstation/themes/simple/common_resources/scroll_sound.wav
any reason why it is still silent?

Sounds seem to be working fine for me. GM-Script-Writer-62850 you may need to add the <scrollSound> tag to any game lists for your theme. Edit your theme.xml and add the following

<textlist name="gamelist">

        ...

        <scrollSound>./common_resources/scroll_sound.wav</scrollSound>

        ...

</textlist>

Confusingly the enable sounds setting in the UI appears to be the wrong way around, 'ENABLE SOUNDS [OFF]' is actually on and vice versa. Always tricky wilth toggles but it feels back to front to me.
