Git Push Local To Remote Repository

Rafael J. Rodriguez edited this page May 13, 2016 · 2 revisions

Push a new local branch to a remote Git repository and track it too

  1. Create a new branch:

git checkout -b feature_branch_name

  1. Edit, add and commit your files.

  2. Push your branch to the remote repository:

git push -u origin feature_branch_name

It's as simple as that!
