We have sometimes full computer crashes while acquiring data with MIES. The likely culprit is the PCIe card for the ITC1600, but that will not change anytime soon.

The problem is that even with per sweep NWB writing we end up sometimes with broken NWB files, see #2231.

We would need a way to ensure that the NWB file written to disc is always intact.

Proposal:

  • Close NWB file on per sweep export
  • Copy file into new disc location before opening for writing again
