A bot for playing chess on chess.com
- A recent version of Java 7 is required
- Library used: Robot
- Stockfish 8 is required, and the path for the binary has to be set in StockfishInterface.java
- In Main.java you have to set the path of chessBot on your drive, also you need to create the folder data if it does not exist already
This program auto-recognize the chess.com chessboard, the only thing needed is to start the program and have the chessboard on screen at the same time ! The bot will then read the chessboard, ask stockfish for the best move to play and play it itself.
Some settings can be made through the Main.java file, like the bot speed, the random factors making the speed vary,... This project still need a nice graphic interface to be complete, maybe I will add it someday.
boolean capture: if set to true then the bot will capture each piece as its basis for further recognition (and store it)
Note about capture: The program will take a screenshot of the ennemy's pieces as its basis, the leftmost ones. So if the program start on a chessboard with some of theses pieces missing then it will fail. This is why we have the capture option, if you captured the right pieces already (for a chessboard on chess.com of the same size) then you won't need to do it again and you can set the boolean capture to false in order to start the program on a chessboard that is not the initial position.
playColor.color couleurDeJeu: if set to null then the bot will try to auto detect the player's color (it looks for the left tower), but it can also be set to white or black manually
