Describe the bug
Continuing a standalone session causes it to be duplicated and reassigned to a project

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. create a project
2. create a standalone session
3. continue standalone session in a new instance
4. see that now there are two sessions, both now reassigned to the project (one is in the project directory, the other is in standalone still but has the project metadata nonetheless)

Expected behavior
Consistent project management
