I installed krita on ubuntu via appimage, then I also installed the plugin but when I try to generate something I get an error

Server execution error: Error while deserializing header: MetadataIncompleteBuffer

The safetensors file is corrupt/incomplete. Check the file size and make sure you have copied/downloaded it correctly.

I haven’t touched anything, added new styles, etc. just an error.

I've encountered this same error but on Windows 11 and with the same safetensors file:

I installed it directly from the plug in, no customization at all. Happens immediately after the server starts locally.

Downloads can fail sometimes (especially when internet connection is a bit spotty). Just delete the file and let the plugin redownload it, or do it manually: https://huggingface.co/SG161222/RealVisXL_V5.0/resolve/main/RealVisXL_V5.0_fp16.safetensors
