Some upgrades to the framework code,

  • New button and toggle that allow you to freeze the values instead of updating them everytime you select a new menu option. (yay useless feature)

With these upgrades to the codebase however, I've paved the way to make it easy for me to implement a better bespoke output window that looks cool and is easier to read, what with a bunch of Splatoon icons and all.

Pre-release

First and second versions of Splatool ever created.
Both created 2025-02-03 and 2025-02-05 respectively.

First one didn't have a name, and the UI was inexistent.
Didn't upload the source code until the second version.

For the second version, I did a major bit of work on getting a UI rolling, that would also server as the base for my broader software project called ARCHA.
This version was named Splatoon Sub Spam Calculator v.1.0.1.exe and I did push to this repo starting from then.

Just as a personal note, I won't be uploading any releases to the ARCHA repo until I get a substantial base for people to already be able to extend that app with a few scripts.
However I will be pushing commits to that repo. Just no downloadable releases.

Until then, I'll keep making releases in this repo.

Once ARCHA itself is meaty enough for users to start extending it with scripts and playing around with it, I'll start uploading releases to the ARCHA repo itself too, whilst resuming from the version number I had here, essentially doing a skip like TagStudio did.

Once ARCHA is polished enough to get what would've otherwise been a 1.0 getting out of beta version, I'll bump the epoch version to v1000.0.0.

And from then on, Splatool will be following the ARCHA versions rather than the inverse. (or potentially switching to just having the ARCHA script published as part of the release)

(or perhaps scratch all of that and I just set the first ARCHA release to 1.0 cuz after all what I'm working on here is technically majorly the Splatool part of it, and the ARCHA upgrades are a side effect.)
(Those ARCHA upgrades will still be pushed to the ARCHA repo so you'll still have all the commits of the upgrades along the way, just that there's no sense for the releases to jump for no reason)
