Not able to find element by id

I'm able to launch the application(.xap) on windows 8.1 emulator. But when I try to access an element through id then it throws this error.

Are you planning to run tests on devices too?

Have you tried restarting the emulator? Perhaps test server hang up, usually if there are problems with connectivity, then new session command will fail.

I'm running tests for the first time on windows phone. I just have an application(.xap) which I'm trying to deploy on phone. The deployment process was successful and the only issue was to find an element. On top of it, the inspector is not working for the emulator. It throws this error every time I try to inspect while the test is running.
