Pulse optimization/Realtime command optimization

Pulse optimization -O determines if pulsetable execution will be skipped when
getting new notes or a new pattern. By default it is on. Be warned that
turning it off will increase the rastertime requirements of packed/relocated
songs greatly!

Realtime command optimization -R determines if portamento, vibrato & instrument
vibrato will be skipped on tick 0 of each pattern row. By default it is on, as
this is how tracker programs have operated traditionally. Turning it off makes
the commands sound same regardless of tempo but will increase rastertime use.

So, I can't find the switch to turn it on/off.
I assume the optimization is enabled automatically?
Personally, I always turn it off.

I just turned all optimizations off here https://github.com/2bt/GTMobile/blob/master/src/gtplayer.hpp#L80.
Switches could be added for enabling them. The settings should probably be stored with the song file.

I just remember that the audio quality is a bit different when the optimizations are on (less Hi-Fi?). That's why I always switched them off. I never cared about the rastertime. 😁

However, there are likely some people who would prefer to enable the optimizations, especially since it's the default setting in the desktop version.
That said, the majority probably won’t give it much thought, here on Android.

I didn’t expect there to be so little interest in a SID tracker, especially since the PC version is by far the most widely used nowadays. I even googled it, but there’s no discussion about it in forums or elsewhere. That’s unbelievable.

I am also a bit disappointed TBH. There are currently 37 active devices (some of them my own), 2 ratings (both my own) and 0 reviews. 🤷 But maybe people are just busy and the app catches on in time.

In case there are a some large general C64 groups on Facebook, you might be able to reach some people there.
