Weird pair of commas added to each cloze selection on Mac

Exactly what it says. If I try to cloze this:

Here is an example sentence.

and cloze "example", I'd expect it to do this:

Here is an {{c1::example}} sentence.

Instead, it does this (commas bolded for emphasis):

Here is an {{c1::example**,,**}} sentence

Any way I can remove those commas without individually removing each of them, which is a pain when I'm adding dozens or hundreds of cards at once, each with multiple clozes?

I don't have any Mac. I will see if I can get any Mac to test.
