Wheels for Python 3.14 (4.18.1) - #522

PyPI now carries CPython 3.14 wheels beside 3.9–3.13: cp314 joins the cibuildwheel matrix and the classifiers. A Python 3.14 install — pipx's default on a current Mac — fell back to the sdist and compiled the native extension, which fails wherever there is no toolchain; on this Mac the linker rejected the macOS 27 SDK its command-line tools have not caught up with. mujoco 3.12 ships 3.14 wheels, so the sim extra installs without a compiler too. Tests: the matrix names cp314, and the newest CPython is named the same in the matrix, the classifiers, the README's wheel note and the CI comment. What
cp314-*joins the cibuildwheel matrix, with the 3.14 classifier, the README's wheel note and the CI comment updated to match. Why
Verifying 4.17.0 and 4.18.0 with a clean
pipx install 'openbricks[sim]==X'failed on this Mac: pipx runs Python 3.14, PyPI has wheels for cp39–cp313 only, so pip built the sdist and the linker rejected the macOS 27 SDK (ld: tapi error: unknown architectureonlibSystem.B.tbd). Any Python 3.14 user without a working toolchain hits the same fallback. mujoco 3.12 has cp314 wheels, so with this the sim extra installs without a compiler. cibuildwheel 4.2.1 supports 3.14.The wheel job runs on every PR for all three OSes, so this PR's own checks prove the cp314 wheels build and pass the post-build import.
Tests
test_cibuildwheel_config.py: the matrix names cp314; a new check that the newest CPython is the same in the matrix, the classifiers, the README and the CI comment, so the four cannot drift apart again.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
