Tracking issue for revamping examples

This issue will be used to track any discussion of revamping examples.

Currently we have almost a hundred examples in the examples folder. We need to really, really focus on cutting it down.

I have a couple of ideas in mind at the moment:

• The rig-core examples list from the examples folder should only be for basic examples and not be essentially trying to compensate for lack of a test suite (users ping us anyway if there are issues)
• We should move more advanced examples to a new repo or different folder where they can be easily found
