we should revisit the data representation used, if it's still relevant. This depends on the API design of LargeSmtForest as defined in
0xMiden/crypto#670 (comment)

The concrete derivatives are:

• key / value representations

• entries in InnerForest

How should it be done?

After/during we migrate to LargeSmtForest

When is this task done?

Either it's obsolete or the BTree key value based representation(s) changed and if entries is still needed.
