PNPM Patches

I've done some work on getting Isolate Package to copy PNPM patches to their folder as well as in the package.json along with hard coded patche to firebase-tools-with-isolate.

I'm interested to know what interest there is in contributing this. It was a small lift. But for now I'm just using pnpm patch to apply it.

I was interested in the idea of firebase-tools-with-isolate to be more robust with isolate-package integration.
Such as being able to have an isolate config file.

The biggest issue was needing pnpm patching to be fully functional. Missing functionality is copying patches and the pnpm.patchedDependancies in the package.json.

Not sure if I'm in the right repo. Posting here because Firebase Functions Deployment is the crux of my needs.

Hi @kevpie the repo to implement this would be isolate-package. This fork doesn't add any functionality apart from calling that executable as part of the deployment flow.

If you'd like to give it a shot, PRs are welcome

I'm trying to configure isolate so it includes patched dependencies. But it seems like the isolate.config.json file is ignored.

I'm currently using this logic with firebase.json at the root and a /functions folder, all with pnpm.

There is a small patch I'm using to toggle the relevant params. I didn't get far enough to see if there was a way to already pass or read configs from the filesytem.

Assuming the copy patches work will be completed and landed at some point,
I think the only remaining question regarding this, is how do we control isolate-package without patching.
