Most, if not all markdown renderers allow limited HTML markup to be embedded. Specifically <kbd> and complex <a> links and complex <img> elements.

But this tool automatically surrounds those with back-ticks turning them into inline code instead.

This particularly causes issues with GitHub README.md pages.
