Math formulae in notes

Is there a way in which I can write formulas using LaTeX math environments, `$..$` or `$$..$`. I could find a lot of markdown formats supporting this construct [here](https://github.com/cben/mathdown/wiki/math-in-markdown). It would be great if you could include a way in which one of those external services can be used.
