Animating list item background with stack push/pop on iOS

On iOS tapping a list item which pushes a new stack screen will highlight the background of the item. Conversely when going back from the screen the list item will "unhighlight" as the screen is popped. You can see this when dragging from the left of the screen to go back: the background color is linked to the position of the swipe:

Is there an easy way to achieve this with RNN? I see Element transitions may be an option, but before building something I wanted to see if this has already been solved.
