Hello, for some reason Kaspersky blocks the installer when I run it. Is it a false positive? |

Hello. I noticed that on the release notes for this new version of Supermium that you will be creating a separate new installer designed specifically for XP and Server 2003. However, I would be more than glad to do it on your behalf! :) I am planning to use something like InstallShield or Wise to create that installer. I've developed installers before, and I'd like to use my experience to save you time and have one ready ASAP. I am also considering developing an updater application for your browser to make it easy for users to get the latest version of it without checking GitHub every time. If you are willing to let me work on the XP/2003 installer, what commands would I run before, during, or after install, and would I just extract from chrome.7z and then place all the browser files into the file structure? Would you also provide me assets, like the PNG Supermium logo to use for the setup background/splash screen, as well as provide me assets for the left and top setup bitmaps? On a different note, I noticed that although you're from Canada, the browser is defaulting to British English (evident by the "Customise Supermium" button on the New Tab page). I set the language to English U.S., with no change whatsoever. Is it possible that it may be a bug, or that you can default it to English U.S. or Canadian? Lastly, I was wondering if you could try to port Supermium to Win9x (preferably without the need for KernelEx there)? I know it's gonna be super difficult, if not impossible to do, especially due to its DOS-backed nature and the many optimizations needed for decent website/browser performance, but it'd be worth it to see you try (and even test/put into beta). I know many people (including me) want a browser that can run on retro PCs that can run modern websites. Thank you so much for your time, and I hope you take the above into consideration. :) |

So I was testing supermium these last 2 days on my main pc and I have to say that I'm impressed. Few bug reports though. I have weird black dots on my tabs randomly popping up, return youtube dislikes extension is crashing, weird performance issues on youtube that does not occur on edge 109 or firefox 115 esr. Ram usage? I have 32gb of ram so it does not affect me, but with 15-20 tabs of random sites, youtube playback in the background I'm using around 8-10 gb of ram where edge is only using 4-6 gb of ram. Windows smart screen pops up randomly when opening the browser and also it requires admin prompt to set as default browser and crashes UWP settings. Apart from these small details, the browser works great! Edit: I forgot, fonts are looking "weird" I have no way of putting it, but they look like they are not cleartype or something on sites like disney+ and twitch. but these are not dealbreakers just small details. |

Sorry, will there be the possibility of having the portable/zip version, as was the case with version 119? |

Testing for the Windows 7 GPU process instability bug has continued. It is determined that ending the GPU process (typically identified as the one hogging a full thread in Task Manager) will make the browser responsive again, but a user has reported it may be unresponsive to start as well, and that this condition does not get resolved in the same manner. No common hardware or update level has been discovered. A grouping of workarounds is being considered although they have not been able to solve all issues yet. |

After the termination of support for win xp, the benefits of this browser are also lost. |

-Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 support restored, including x64. Self-extract or use the portable distribution available
through the Supermium Plus Package on https://www.patreon.com/win32 as the regular installer does not work on XP/2003.
A new installer will be developed to resolve the shortcomings of the regular installer.
There should be few caveats compared to Supermium on other platforms, with exception of hardware
acceleration and some issues with printing of web pages.
-New branding and new interface elements, specifically with regards to tabs. Trapezoidal full-sized
tabs are the default, but the following options in chrome://flags can be used to customize the tabs:
#custom-tab-shapes - if disabled, reverts the tabs to the standard Chrome look.
#override-tab-outline-default - black outline enabled by default with trapezoidal tabs, but not rounded tabs.
#override-new-tab-button-shape-default - toggles between rounded new tab button and trapezoidal new tab button.
#compact-ui - reduces the padding of the address bar and the tabs.
#transparent-tabs - introduces some level of transparency to tabs (best with Aero Glass enabled)
-Many new flags from ungoogled-chromium. There are too many to list, but they include:
#tab-hover-cards - disable tab hover cards
#custom-ntp - set a custom new-tab page
#disable-sharing-hub
#clear-data-on-exit
Other flags will be shown in chrome://flags with "ungoogled-chromium" attribution in their descriptions.
-In particular, the flags #disable-encryption and #disable-machine-id now make Supermium user data portable
if enabled. The "portable" distribution will have a launch script with these flags enabled as well as a data
directory in the same directory as the executable.
-The option to restore the download shelf has been restored with the use of flag #download-bubble. to disable the download bubble.
-Flag #power-bookmarks-side-panel has been restored.
-Click-to-Call feature restored.
-GDI offsets in UI fixed. GDI crashes resolved.
-Rendering issues with tooltips and other UI elements should be resolved.
Please note that 2 CPU threads and at least 768 MB of RAM is recommended. We will make attempts to improve
performance on single-threaded systems for future releases.
