When vertically-set Mongolian text contains a textarea element, the control will also be vertical. A preceding label will appear above the top left corner of the textarea box. #17

Results:

  • Gecko: ✅ ❌ Control is horizontal & text too, but control is too far to the right. Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/109.0
  • Blink: ✅ Control is vertical & label text too, though control is not symmetrical around the centre baseline. Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/109.0.0.0 Safari/537.36
  • Webkit: ✅ Control is vertical & label text too, though control is not symmetrical around the centre baseline. Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/16.2 Safari/605.1.15
