[Marketing] Plan?

VanJS looks very well designed ✨ Awesome work.

I think there is a dire need for a simple JSX design with built-in reactivity. Is there a marketing plan to popularize VanJS? 👀

What speaks to me at first sight: 1Kb does it all: state + render. I also love it for the same reasons.
You can have a <5Kb "Hello World" which is insane, never seen before.

With some plugins on top and you can do JSX, isomorphism, rpc, I mean where can you stop?

I was thinking maybe we can redesign the homepage/docs, set a discord server. I've created a couple of extensions for VanJS to help popularize it, working with it really feels like I want to rewrite everything with it ngl.

In my somewhat educated mind it's all about marketing indeed. We all agree a great product advertises itself. Overall VanJS is advertised as an "on the go UI framework" which strikes directly at jQuery in that sense, but the real target is actually the bulky react.

Yes Solid is an awesome react, but this thing right here is real special, I'm sure you agree.

From what I've seen so far, VanJS seems to have the best design of all UI frameworks — I agree with that.

What I'm asking myself is whether VanJS will eventually become mainstream? That takes a substantial amount of time and effort, so I'm curious if there is someone (now or in the future) on the VanJS team willing to make that happen 👀

(Personally, I'd love Van to become more popular.)

Hi there, VanJS author here. Thanks @brillout and @thednp for your enthusiasm and kind words about VanJS! I created VanJS because I believe UI framework can be done in a much simpler way, thus I put some effort to cook the code, write the document and respond to the discussions in GitHub to ensure it can be easily used for various use cases.

As for making VanJS reach to a wider audience, I believe I am trying the best I could. There are people writing articles about it in different languages (English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.). There are YouTubers making videos about it. I am very grateful for all the influencers that spread the words. I didn't pay anyone for the promotion thus these are all gratuitous help!

For users, I think the best they can help is to star the project, spread the words and recommend someone to try VanJS when their use case suits.
